Terroir and Vinification: Crès - South/Southwest facing slopes - Old vines - Yield 25-30 hl/ha - Harvest at optimum ripeness. Total destemming of the harvest. Traditional vinification. Extraction by rack and pinion exclusively. Long macerations of 30 to 40 days. Aged in our cellars in meticulously selected oak barrels.

Tasting: The plot selection of this Syrah gives it an exceptional richness and aromatic purity. We dive into a bold wine that delivers aromas of ripe fruit accompanied by delicate empyreumatic swirls that give the Syrah fine notes of leather. The palate is long, graceful and finishes with a beautiful natural freshness revealing a hint of licorice to underline the whole.

History: This vintage is a tribute to all the people who made VIRANEL what it is today. In fact, since 1551, the Estate entered a new era in the mid-16th century when it was "enfeoffed" to the notary at the Royal Court of Béziers. Remarkably, since that date, it has always been passed down by inheritance or alliance!
