Terroir and Vinification: Clay-limestone terroir. Yield of 18 to 22 hl/ha. Grapes destemmed since the 1996 vintage. Vatting of 70 to 90 days depending on the vintage. Punching down the body. Aged for 36 months, including 24 months in barrels for 50% of the wine. Bottled without fining or filtration.

Tasting: Maghani Wine is a powerful, age-worthy wine with fine tannins. In its youth, its palate reveals notes of red fruits, chocolate, and peony, then evolves into more complex notes of morello cherry, spices, and blond tobacco.

Food and Wine Pairing: To be enjoyed with game, woodcock, roast geese with spices and candied fruit.
